英语语法：as
1. 状语从句和as
• 时间：当（just as）；随着（as）; 一……就（as soon as）
As I was leaving, the phone rang.
We got to the check-in desk just as they were about to close.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by
Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date
（电影《卡萨布兰卡》插曲。大意：
这世界永远欢迎恋人，任时光飞逝，月光与情歌，亘古不变。）
• 原因：因为
As it was getting late, we decided to go home.
• 比较：如、一样（as…as…)I don’t play football as much as I used to.
The damage was n’t quite as bad as expected.
• 方式：像……那样
Leave everything just as you found it.
• 让步：虽然——形/副/名 + as + 主谓
Much as I sympathize with your difficulties, there is little I can do to help you.
• 条件：只要……就……（as long as）
My parents don’t care what job I do as long as I’m happy.
2. 定语从句和as
• As is/was …在句首，“正如……”
The damage wasn’t quite as bad as expected.
As everyone knows, the farming industry is in serious difficulties.
Well, as the saying goes, ‘A problem shared is a problem halved’.
• As在same、so、such、as后，“如……一样的……”
Don’t trust such men as praise you to your face.
We have arrived at the same conclusion as they have.
3. 形容词副词和as：as+形容词/副词+as…
• 和……一样……：as…as…；
不如…… not as/so…as…
You’ve made just as many mistakes as I have．
• 倍数词/数量词 + as …as…：如half/twice/three times etc. as … as…:
A house in London coststwice as much as a similar house in Liverpool.
• 表示程度：……达……（as…as）；
尽可能地……（as…as possible/onecan）
The river is as deep aslO meters． （这条河深达10米。 ）
Frosts often occur as late as May． （往往到5月份还有霜。）
Our aim isto collect as much information as possible.
4. 介词短语和as
(1) as a…=Being a… 作为……
(2) consider/regard/see/view/look on/think of/treat/referto…as…把……看作是……
(3) define/describe/picture…as… 把……定义或描述为……
(4) such as=like/including例如
(5) as well as… 和……一样（也）
(6) as well 也
(7) as far as I know 就我所知
(8) as usual 像往常一样；照例
(9) as before 一如既往
(10) as to 关于、就……
