英语语法：so/such
1. so/such和名词：意为“如此……的……”
原则上so后接形容词或副词；such后接名词。有以下可能：
So 形容词或副词
So 形容词或副词 a/an 名词
So many/much/few/little 名词
Such a/an 形容词 单数可数名词
Such 形容词 复数或不可数名词
（上面第三种情况，可以记忆为“多多少少只用so”）

2. so/such和不定式：意为“如此……以至于……”
So (…) as to do
His comments onthe book were so childish as to be not worth considering.
他对此书的评论如此幼稚以至于根本不值的考虑。
In Tehran the wives of foreign diplomats wore headscarves so as not to offend the Iranians.
在德黑兰外国外交官的妻子们戴面纱，以防惹恼伊朗人。
Such (…) as to do
The countess’s treatment of her servants was such as to cause great resentment.
女伯爵如此对待仆人，激起了民愤。
3. so/such和状语从句
so that：引出目的状语从句，表示“为了……”
The window was covered so that it was not possible to see inside.
窗子被遮起来这样就看不见里面了。
so/such…that：引出结果状语从句，表示“如此……以至于……”
Everything’s changed so much I can scarcely recognize the place.
一切变化如此之大，以至于我都认不出这里了。
He speaks tome in such a way that I always feel he is insulting me.
他跟我用这样的方式说话，以至于我感到他在羞辱我。
so long as: 也做as long as; 引出条件状语从句。表示“只要……（就）”
My parents don’t care what job I do as long as I’m happy.
我父母不在乎我做什么工作，只要我喜欢。
4. so/such和倒装结构
So + 助动词 + 主语：……也如此。
Such + 助动词 + 主语：这就是……；……就是这样。
‘I’d like to know what’s happening out there.’ ‘So would I.’
“我想知道外面在干什么。”“我也想知道。”
Such was Einstein，a humorous talent.
这就是爱因斯坦，一个幽默的天才
So/Such + 部分倒装句 + that +从句：如此……以至于……
So excited were the children that they could n’t sleep.
孩子们兴奋的睡不着。
Such was Crowther’ s reputation in the city that no one ever questioned his judgment.
克劳德在城里有如此名望，以至于没人质疑他的判断。
